Turning the 'beaten down around
During the Cultural Revolution, it was very popular to paint wall paintings in the pose of 'clenching a fist towards the sky', which was used to imply the overthrow of the 'capitalists'. I used this pose, made it into a candle and recorded it melting in the hope of softening the excesses of the Cultural Revolution.

I used the software to edit the photo and invert the colours to make it look as if the black had been stained with blood.
