She Luyun works within the misaligned space between technological fetishism and the urgent conditions of the present. Growing up in a PCB manufacturing environment in Shenzhen, she has developed a sustained sensitivity and fascination toward electronic components, tools, and production logics. This intimacy also becomes her point of entry for observing and critiquing techno-capitalism and accelerationism. The tension between intense obsession and critical distance, almost schizophrenic in its pull, allows her to begin from micro-emotional states such as irritation, dullness, dependency, fatigue and hyper-focus, tracing how these intimate conditions are entangled with the global rhythms of technological systems.
Her practice spans installation, video, text and electronic materials, examining the cyclic relations among techno-faith, productive logics and personal affective projection. Moving fluidly between bodily micro-perception and systemic macro-structures, her works reveal how technological conditions shape, distort or recode human emotion and sensory experience.
Through reconstructing technical scenarios and linguistic structures, she investigates how contemporary subjects are guided, activated or misled by technological stimuli, while maintaining a self-critical and reflective distance from these densely interwoven relations.
